Cougar - Stamm 776

Cougar is by the imported stallion Collins out of a German State Premium imported mare by Coriander . He is a pleasure to train, with a perfect ground covering canter, optimum ride-ability and very generous scope. He is long legged, powerful in his canter with the right amount of go, and is without doubt one of the best stallions that possesses both a talent for dressage and great scope for jumping that is standing for breeding in Australia. His progeny are now over five years old and he is stamping them with outstanding gaits, powerful canter and careful scopy technique. Cougar is by the very talented imported German stallion Collins. Collins was born in 1995 in Germany and imported in 1998 by the Stud. Collins is by the Holsteiner stallion Calando I (by Cor de la Bryère) out of a Caletto II mare (by Cor de la Bryère) giving him a double cross with the famous Holsteiner foundation sire.

Cougar's dam Cadence is by the famous dressage stallion Coriander and out of the State Premium Mare, Doreen I, by Lord. Cadence is a State Premium Mare and has three full sisters who are also State Premium mares. Cadence's sire Coriander is probably best known and respected for producing the quietest minds in Holstein. He ranked as the Leading Sire of Sport-horses for all of Germany in his age group three years in a row and is one of the cardinal sires in Holstein. His progeny have won advanced dressage and showjumping competitions. He is renowned for producing elastic movers with deep and effective shoulders. Coriander is included in this elite list of stallions for his consistent production of stallion sons and approved daughters. The famous Holsteiner Stamm 776 has produced sires such as Calvados I and II, Cortino I and II, Lord Incipit, Captain Incipit, Lauritz J, Rossini, Acorado, Lordanos, Ramirado Contiki, Toledo, and world-class sire Ramiro, who is present in many top showjumping horses and sires.

Cougar won Supreme Champion at the Holsteiner Classifications in February 2002 at the unprecedented age of six months and was the winner of the 4 year old WA State Dressage Young Horse Championships in 2005. Amongst many prestigious wins including the Bates Newcomer Award in 2007, winner of the very prestigious 2010 ISS Summer Classic CSI-W Futurity and also was the 2010 NSW Country Jumping Champion.
